KRIO has been in the food industry for the last 40+ years, starting with the founder Anthony Alsten in 1987. Continuing on the family business is Lee Alsten, who brings 20+ years of experience to this family business-turned leading manufacturer in the food industry that specialises in savoury seasonings, herb blends, and herbs & spices.
Krio is based in Kingsgrove, Sydney, and their manufacturing plant occupies a 3000 square metre purpose-built site, including a “development kitchen”.
Our flavour development team is comprised of experienced professional chefs and food technologists. Together they can create a concept, flavour family or work with your formulation, under strict confidentiality.
Our chefs also provide expert guidance and support in product selection and product application.
Our team’s goal is simple:
“We want to be number one in our industry.”
Krio Krush products are all natural, and always have been. This means no preservatives, no artificial ingredients and no genetically modified products. All of our ingredients are purchased from the best growers and processors in Europe, to meet our strict quality requirements.
We care about creating quality products AND we care about maintaining product freshness for as long as possible. That is why we have worked hard to develop packaging that will retain freshness in harsh commercial kitchen environments.
Our extensive experience in the food industry, makes us a very reliable partner that can bring quality to the table.
We have worked with commercial kitchens, manufacturers of bulk food, butcheries, as well as retail outlets like delis and fruit shops.
We have a sincere and personable approach and have formed many longstanding customer relationships – with some dating back to the company’s inception.
Talk to us about creative flavours you want in your product.
Together we can create signature blends that will support and promote your brand.
HOW WE DO IT?
Get in touch
We are personable, and flexible… And although we like to use technology to improve on efficiency, we still do business the old-fashioned way; face-to-face, and with a handshake.
We’re not following the trends, we’re setting the trends.
We focus on product development and we like to bring innovation to the market... We like to set the trends.
"We’re always looking at new ideas and thinking of new products. It keeps us ahead of the game and makes us different." ~ Lee Alsten, CEO
